Franco Guzzi, Chief Executive Officer, Cohn & Wolfe Milan
Franco Guzzi, Chief Executive Officer of Cohn & Wolfe Milan manages all operations of the Milan’s office. He acts as senior counsel to key clients, including McDonald’s, illycaffè, Asti Consortium, UPA (national association representing and protecting the interests of Italian companies investing in advertising) and other key accounts.
Franco founded Cohn & Wolfe Milan in 1995 and he is Chief Executive Officer of the company and member of the WPP Italy Executive Committee. From 2001 to 2006 he has served as President of Assorel (Italian PR Agencies Association) and is currently also member of the Board of Directors of Confindustria-Servizi Innovativi (main national Federation representing all industries sectors).
Franco started his career and built his 10 years professional experience in operative marketing in consumer multinational companies (Kraft-General Foods and Cheseborough Ponds). He then improved his competence in PR and communication in Hill & Knowlton and, in January 1988 in Burson-Marsteller, as marketing communications manager, general manager and then as vice-president. He specialised in issue management campaigns and he is today acknowledged as one of the most authoritative experts in Italy.
He is currently holding communication courses at Milan’s University, IULM University and several Masters in Communication and Public Relations.
Franco graduated from Milan’s State University with a Degree in Political Sciences.
