Cohn & Wolfe appoints two new leaders to support Healthcare Practice growth

Kristie Kuhl and Maura Bergen join as executive vice presidents

New York – December 9, 2014 – Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global communications agency, has appointed two new senior leaders, Kristie Kuhl and Maura Bergen, as executive vice presidents of the US Healthcare Practice. The two will support new and existing clients, including oversight of cardiovascular and respiratory product launches. They report to Jillian Janaczek and Lisa Talbot, Managing Directors of the practice.

Kuhl joins Cohn & Wolfe’s Healthcare practice as Executive Vice President, bringing a wide breadth of regulatory and legal experience. Before joining Cohn & Wolfe, Kuhl was an EVP, Deputy Practice Leader at Makovsky. In her career, she has handled multiple Beltway regulatory issues for clients, including CMS reimbursement disputes, FDA approval regulatory issues, draft regulatory guidance and requests for information from members of Congress.
Bergen, also joining as an Executive Vice President in the Healthcare practice, specializes in integrated marketing and communications planning. Bergen was most recently Managing Director at W20 Group’s Twist Marketing, and was previously atNovartis managing product communications for the cardiovascular franchise, including blockbuster Diovan.
Cohn & Wolfe’s US Healthcare Practice has had a strong 2014, with double-digit growth, numerous multi-million dollar new business wins and award-winning client work including seven FDA approvals and over twenty regulatory milestones. To support its growth, the practice has grown a diverse team of seasoned industry experts, with Kuhl and Bergen rounding out more than 25 new hires this year.
