Cohn & Wolfe expands North American leadership team with two senior hires

New additions will support agency growth in corporate, mobile and technology sectors

New York/Los Angeles – June 17, 2013 – Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global communications agency, today announced two senior appointments to help drive growth and lead new accounts. David Henderson, who joins as SVP in Los Angeles, will oversee the US Communications business for Nokia and Josh Levin, based in New York, joins as SVP and Co-Lead of the US Corporate Practice. Henderson will report to Los Angeles office President Kazumi Mechling and Levin will have dual reporting to North America President Jim Joseph and Global Corporate Affairs Practice leader Geoff Beattie.

These appointments follow a series of hires to support recent, agency-wide growth across the technology, corporate, healthcare and consumer practices.

“We’ve seen a significant uptick in clients the first half of this year, especially among clients looking to integrate communications across disciplines,” says Joseph. “Josh and David bring a broad range of marketing experience with top brands that will be invaluable to our clients.”

With extensive knowledge of mobile platforms and wireless commerce, Henderson will act as US Communications lead for the agency’s Nokia account and will help Cohn & Wolfe continue its growth in the mobile and technology sectors. Henderson was previously Director of Corporate Communications at T-Mobile, where he managed external communications, served as the brand’s spokesperson and oversaw T-Mobile’s joint business initiatives with companies such as Apple, Google and Samsung. Prior to T-Mobile, Henderson was a VP in Waggener Edstrom’s Consumer Technology practice, working on clients such as HTC, Microsoft and Siemens.

“Developing integrated campaigns that effectively combine mobile marketing, video and other story-driven content is a must-have for brands today,” says Henderson. "I'm inspired to join Cohn & Wolfe at a time when the agency is creating bold, impactful work for clients in new areas such as digital storytelling and experiential marketing.  I’m looking forward to tapping into the agency’s deep creative resources as I help grow their consumer technology practice.”

Levin, alongside 14-year veteran Marie DiFrancesco, will co-lead the agency’s US Corporate practice. He will assist with day-to-day practice management and lead business for key corporate clients in the US.  He will also work closely with the Global Corporate Affairs team to drive growth across the network.  With broad experience in public affairs, corporate, employee communications and issues management, Levin brings a wealth of knowledge to the agency’s well-established corporate client roster. He joins the agency from Ogilvy Public Relations, where he was client co-lead for the Government of Mexico account, and worked on brands such as Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company and Emirates Airlines.

“Cohn & Wolfe handles some of the world’s most impressive brands and I can’t wait to harness the agency’s corporate affairs prowess to fashion daring campaigns which excite publics and, most importantly, actualize our clients’ business objectives,” says Levin.
