Global communications agency continues remarkable growth in Asia Pacific

Manila – January 9, 2014 – Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global communications agency, today announced the opening of a new, wholly-owned office in Manila to meet growing client needs for a presence in the Philippines.  The move broadens Cohn & Wolfe’s growing operations in Southeast Asia, following the agency’s Asia-Pacific expansion in China and India.  The office is already operational with six employees, led by industry specialist Amiel Mendoza, who will report to Gavin Foo, Group Managing Director, Southeast Asia.  Mendoza joins Cohn & Wolfe from EON, where his extensive marketing background includes work with leading global brands such as such as L’Oreal, Cirque du Soleil, McDonald’s, Kraft and Procter & Gamble.
The Philippines team will focus on the core areas of Technology, Consumer & Lifestyle and Branding, counseling Cohn & Wolfe Southeast Asia clients such as Google and Nokia.  In addition to multinational clients, this region will serve as a platform for local brands and industries looking to leapfrog into the global marketplace through integrated marketing and branding solutions.
“With 100 million people, a large consumer base and a fast-emerging middle class, the Philippines cannot be ignored,” said Foo.  “Our deep understanding of Asian business and culture and unparalleled global expertise and resources make Cohn & Wolfe a strong partner for global and local brands looking to penetrate this market.”
