Cohn & Wolfe named AOR for online travel company Hipmunk
New York – September 17, 2012 – Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global communications agency, has been named agency of record for online travel company Hipmunk. The agency will be tasked with helping the company gain brand awareness and to drive trial of the product.
Founded in 2010, Hipmunk is a new travel search site that aims to take the agony out of travel planning. With an innovative design that lists travel options in an easy-to-navigate timeline and hotels on a map of closest options, Hipmunk sets itself apart from other travel-booking sites on the market. The site also features options outside of commercial flights and large-scale hotel chains.
In a recent article by PRWeek, Jacqueline Tanzella, PR director at Hipmunk, said the company selected Cohn & Wolfe because of its understanding of the brand and knowledge of “PR from every angle.”
Cohn & Wolfe is splitting the project responsibilities between their New York and Los Angeles offices and plans to engage consumer lifestyle and travel media to help Hipmunk “disrupt the travel industry” and challenge other travel sites.
