Cohn & Wolfe Sees Double at Big Apple Awards

C&W’s Panasonic and Jif campaigns honored at Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Event

New York – May 29, 2009 – Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global public relations agency, and its clients won two major awards at the 22nd annual PRSA-NY Chapter’s Big Apple Awards.  One of the premier events in the public relations industry, the Big Apple Awards recognizes the accomplishments and campaigns of PR professionals in the tri-state area. It’s been a busy and rewarding awards season for Cohn & Wolfe. Earlier this month, the agency took home three Gold awards and one Certificate of Excellence at the North American Sabre Awards.

The Panasonic “Living In HD” program, now in its third year, was created to demonstrate how High Definition (HD) technology can get families to spend more quality time together. Cohn & Wolfe’s program consisted of traditional media, digital and social media outreach and community events, including a nationwide interactive mobile truck tour, that drove hundreds of thousands of consumers to test Panasonic’s HD technologies and apply to become a Living in HD family.

The Jif® Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest™ asks children across America to submit their own new and tasty take on everyone’s favorite lunch staple.  This out-of-the-“lunch” box idea has evolved into an equity building campaign for the brand; ignited a creative spark for thousands of kids across the country; enhanced quality time between parents and children; and helped kids earn money for college with a $25,000 grand prize.  This year, the Cohn & Wolfe team energized the program by reaching new audiences for the contest through traditional and digital media outreach and garnering record submissions and overall interest.
