Awards highlight agency’s work across multiple channels

 
San Francisco – February 19, 2015 – Cohn & Wolfe, a leading brand communications agency, won two In2 SABRE awards during a ceremony held in San Francisco last night. The awards spanned categories highlighting Cohn & Wolfe’s wide range of expertise across channels, including Blogs & Subject Matter (Microsoft Devices) and Innovative Channels (Panasonic).
 
The In2 SABRE Awards honors great digital content and the use of data and analytics in impressive, results-oriented campaigns. Judged by industry experts from some of the most innovative companies, the In2 SABRE Awards recognize agencies that emphasize authenticity, engagement, stakeholder dialogue and business results.

Cohn & Wolfe was challenged to deliver grassroots advocacy for the Lumia Icon - an otherwise unknown phone in a world dominated by mobile giants Apple and Samsung - and bring to life the tagline “See and Hear What You’ve Been Missing.” To accomplish the goal, Cohn & Wolfe targeted a select group of highly-influential Tastemakers to become the Icon’s authentic brand ambassadors for one month, incorporating the phones into their everyday lives. By hand-selecting social influencers in the Music, Food and Travel space - areas in which the device could shine - the Lumia Icon became an integrated part of these Tastemakers lives and the centrepiece of their social conversations. This authentic brand campaign drove tons of original, social and earned media content, garnering 139 million organic impressions, nearly 3,500 social shares and more than 39,000 social engagements; ultimately showing the world “what they’ve been missing.”

Panasonic, the global leader in rugged mobile computing, asked longtime AOR Cohn & Wolfe to launch their most rugged device yet: A super-durable, super-portable and super-functional handheld tablet for on-the-go professionals like delivery drivers and utility linemen. As a way to showcase the tablet’s extreme durability and capture the attention of today’s jaded B2B technology decision-maker, Cohn & Wolfe commissioned a team of comic book industry veterans to create “Unbreakable Valor,” a custom comic book series with the new Panasonic Toughpad tablet at the heart of the story. With hard copies going out to hundreds of media and influencers, and nearly half a million views of the digital edition, the comic was launched along with a video and online sweepstakes for prizes, including the opportunity to be drawn into a future issue. The unexpected and fun campaign garnered significant media coverage, widespread organic social media activity and accolades for the brand.
