Jim Joseph named a top marketing professor on Twitter by Social Media Marketing Magazine
New York – September 18, 2012 – Award-winning brand architect, author, professor and Cohn & Wolfe’s North American President Jim Joseph has been named to the top 50 marketing professors on Twitter by Social Media Marketing Magazine. The list was compiled to recognize marketing professors who provide useful content, consistently engage with their followers and truly “get it” when it comes to the best ways to use Twitter and other forms of social media. Modeled after his book “The Experience Effect”, Joseph’s New York University (NYU) course “Building the Brand Experience” explores marketplace examples of brands that provide seamless and loyalty building experiences through group interaction and discussions. Students are guided through step-by-step methodologies for building compelling brand experiences. NYU is widely known for having one of the most respected marketing programs in the U.S.
“I learn so much from my students, every class is an amazing experience for me,” said Joseph on his inclusion of list. “I use Twitter to keep connected with what’s going on in our industry and in particular with brands. After all, marketing is a spectator sport!”
And as real-time social engagement during televised shows reach a fever pitch, this Sunday, September 23rd, Joseph will be hosting a Twitter party during the 64th Annual Emmy Awards, along with guest co-host Helayne Spivak – the director of the Brand Center of VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University). Joseph and Spivak will bring their branding and creative expertise in to their students and fans in real-time, commenting on brand sponsorships, communication programs and commercial programming of the broadcast.
