Jim Martinez, a specialist in corporate positioning and branding, has significant experience understanding the challenges facing companies as they try to build a corporate brand – and he knows from experience how to overcome the obstacles that threaten the branding process. Over the years, Jim has helped to reposition Oracle as a facilitator for Internet commerce; counseled Wilmington Trust on positioning itself as a manager of wealth for high net worth individuals, and developed and oversaw Gateway’s successful repositioning as a PC-industry innovator. He has counseled companies through national and international crises and developed and executed marketing and positioning strategies for consumer and business-to-business brands. Previously, Jim was president of public relations with Kemper Lesnik Communications, an integrated marketing communications company, where he developed total branding and marketing plans for a variety of technology and other companies. Earlier, he started the Advanced Technology Practice at Hill and Knowlton/Chicago, where he counseled a broad array of tech companies. His work with technology companies incorporates “best practice” methodology from his work in the corporate practices of Hill and Knowlton and Ogilvy PR. Jim graduated from Northwestern University.
