A consummate foodie with a passion for all things epicurean, Theresa brings a high level of creativity, versatility, strategic thinking, and enthusiasm to her clients and work at Cohn & Wolfe. Most wine devotées have an “aha” moment when they taste a wine that changes their lives, or in Theresa’s case, her career. Hers came at an Oregon Pinot Noir tasting, where she – a complete vino novice – tasted and fell in love with Eyrie Vineyards’ outstanding 1980 vintage Pinot Noir.

Since then, Theresa’s sophisticated palate and communications savvy have been put to work for many of the world’s leading wine and spirits brands, restaurants, and artisanal food producers, and along the way she has fostered close ties with food and wine writers, winemakers, producers, mixologists, chefs, sommeliers, and chocolatiers. Theresa joined Cohn & Wolfe in 2007, where she has specialized in media relations, program development, new product launches, and event execution for clients such as Rémy Martin (cognac portfolio, including V.S.O.P, 1738, X.O, and the brand’s prestige marks, Louis XIII), The J.M. Smucker Company, and the Darden Restaurant Group.

Theresa’s past clients include Bacardi USA, Pernod Ricard USA, Laurent-Perrier Champagne, Bodega Norton, Sandeman Ports and Sherries, Arancio Estate, Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard, Boisset’s French rabbit Wines, Eyrie Vineyards, Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker, Fairytale Brownies, the Long Island Wine Council, the Vines of Mendoza, and Tribute Restaurant, among others. She has also worked in the fields of travel retail, beauty, fashion, healthcare, and shelter.

Not satisfied with just a day job, in 2005 Theresa founded the menswear line Be Aware Apparel. Theresa’s designs were featured in several fashion magazines, including the cover of Cosmopolitan, and worn by numerous celebrities and musicians, including Matthew McConaughey and Jon Bon Jovi.

Theresa graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from St. John’s University in New York, and a Certificate in International Business from the Université de Lyon in France. She is fluent in French with a knack for picking up languages in every country she visits.

Theresa is particularly proud of the knife skills she learned in some of New York’s top kitchens, and she holds the Advanced Certificate with Honors from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, where she hopes to be a candidate for Diploma in 2009. She also chairs a youth outreach organization with the New York Junior League and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
