Social media in a regulated environment--panel insights

Last month I had the pleasure of moderating a panel called “Something Regulated” hosted by Digital Somethings, Business Development Institute, and Pfizer. The panel consisted of a dynamic group of communicators responsible for driving social media in their organizations.

Ray Kerins, Vice President, Worldwide Communications, Pfizer
Ted Meyer, Head of Communications, Americas, Deutsche Bank
Morgan Johnston, Manager, Corporate Communication, JetBlue
Victoria Harres Akers, Director, Audience Development, PRNewswire

There were a lot of fantastic insights shared with the audience, a full house at the Roger Smith Hotel of companies and agencies alike. I think it was particularly interesting hearing how our panelists found their way in social media, in some cases despite regulations in others way because of them, but all to the effect of driving results for their business.

Below is an excerpt from the discussion on operationalizing social media within the organization. Additional excerpts are available on our YouTube channel.

Much thanks to Francesco Paciocco for capturing the video from the event.

Enjoy!
