Global Design Firm Atkins Appoints Cohn & Wolfe

Atkins, the UK’s largest engineering consultancy and the world’s third largest design firm, has appointed Cohn & Wolfe to boost the industry profile of its Design and Engineering Solutions business.

Cohn & Wolfe’s brief includes thought leadership in nuclear, defence, energy, mass transit, utilities, telecoms, design and engineering sectors.

Led by UK managing director Geoff Beattie, the Cohn & Wolfe team will focus on reinforcing industry understanding of Atkins’s credentials as a leader in its field.

Atkins’ divisional Communications Director, Trudy Warrender, comments: “Cohn & Wolfe proposed a campaign that focuses on the issues critical to our key sectors and complements our corporate growth strategy. They also showed an ability to think laterally about how to position us as an industry leader.”

Beattie adds: “Atkins has the scale and credentials that truly support a leadership programme such as this. Our expertise in sustainability, B2B and design & engineering matched perfectly with the knowledge set required by Atkins, and we welcome the opportunity to work with them.”
