Cohn & Wolfe's Corporate Affairs Team is Double Finalist in PRWeek Awards

LONDON - Cohn & Wolfe London's 'Smashing Sex Inequality in Grand Slam Tennis' campaign is a finalist in the PRWeek 2007 awards in two categories: Issues and crisis management and Public Affairs.

The programme, devised and implemented on behalf of the Sony Ericsson Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has already won the Public Affairs category in the IPRA 2007 Golden World Awards.

Since the US Open agreed equal prize money for men and women in 1973, the WTA had campaigned for the remaining competitions, Wimbledon and Roland Garros in France, to fall in line. Cohn & Wolfe's stakeholder campaign, targeting the media, politicians and sports bodies, successfully ended the discrimination in prize money in March 2007.

Cohn & Wolfe’s Corporate Affairs clients include Barclays Wealth, Diageo, Picture Financial, Learning & Skills Council and e-skills UK.
