Beijing 2008: Olympic and Paralympic activities started for Cohn & Wolfe
Team Visa Italy: from Milan to Beijing
MILAN– The new Italian Team Visa for the Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games has been finally presented in Milan. Andrew Howe (Athletics – long jump), Alessia Filippi (Swimming), Stefania Cicali (Canoeing) and Matteo Betti (Paralympic Fencing) are the “Hopeful” athletes of the Team Visa mentored by the former gymnast Jury Chechi (aka the Lord of the Rings) who will pass on his wisdom.
While the Team Mentor is a retired athlete who is internationally recognised as Olympic or Paralympic Great, Hopefuls are young athletes who have already achieved significant results in international competition and have the potential to qualify for and compete for glory at Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Team Visa members have been selected by Visa Europe, working closely with the Italian National Olympic and Paralympic Committees.
Visa is a Worldwide Partner of the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. The Team Visa programme has been designed to establish the company’s brand values: progressive, innovative, empowerment.
Team members were unveiled to more than 30 journalists - also including radio and TV crews - through a special media event designed by Cohn & Wolfe Milan Visa Team (Chiara Signorotto, Isabella Polli, Stefania Biagini, Marco Caspani). Cohn & Wolfe Milan has already supported the Italian Team Visa programme for the ATHENS 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games and for the Torino 2006 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games as well.
