COHN & WOLFE NAMED FINALIST IN PRWEEK AWARDS PROGRAM
Agency’s New York Corporate Communications Practice Recognized with Industry’s Highest Accolade
NEW YORK – February 5, 2007 – Cohn & Wolfe has been named a finalist in the PRWeek Awards 2007 program for excellence in the public relations field in the Investor/Financial Communications Campaign of the Year category. The competition is the industry’s highest accolade given annually to the best corporate, non-profit and agency teams as well as the campaigns they produce.
Cohn & Wolfe was nominated for its work with Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NYSE: ADP) on the ADP National Employment Report, a monthly measure of private nonfarm employment in the United States. Cohn & Wolfe’s New York Corporate Communications practice devised and executed a comprehensive public relations strategy to ensure the initial and ongoing success of the ADP National Employment Report.
“I am extremely proud of this accolade that underscores the fact that Cohn & Wolfe is home to a world-class Corporate and Financial Communications practice,” said Matt Wolfrom, Executive Vice President, Cohn & Wolfe. “Working in close partnership with ADP, we have achieved tremendous results and recognition for the ADP National Employment Report and look forward to its continued success.”
Since its launch on May 3, 2006, public relations has been the sole vehicle promoting the ADP National Employment Report, which to date has garnered coverage in more than 2,500 news stories in top-tier media including CNBC, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Times, Associated Press, and BusinessWeek. The ADP National Employment Report has gained the support and respect of leading economists, financial professionals, and government policymakers as a key indicator of the private nonfarm employment situation in the United States.
“We value Cohn & Wolfe as a strategic public relations partner and counselor and are extremely pleased with the ongoing success and impact this campaign continues to have on the market and our overall business,” added Victor Saliterman, ADP Senior Vice President, Marketing. “We are delighted that our work in partnership with Cohn & Wolfe on the ADP National Employment Report has been recognized by PRWeek as one of the most successful and impactful public relations campaigns of the year.”
PRWeek received nearly 700 entries in 32 categories for work done during the last year. Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony to be held at Tavern on the Green in New York City, on March 8.
“The PRWeek Awards honors the highest degree of creativity and professionalism in public relations,” says PRWeek Editor-in-Chief Julia Hood. “The finalists’ successes demonstrate why the PR. industry is thriving, and growing faster than the overall market for advertising and marketing.”
