Cohn & Wolfe Healthcare Wins European and UK Brief from Mundipharma International and Napp Pharmaceuticals
Mundipharma International has appointed Cohn & Wolfe Healthcare to provide European public relations support for its investigational pain treatment, an oral prolonged-release (PR) oxycodone/naloxone combination tablet. The agency has also won a brief for the UK implementation of the campaign, from Mundipharma’s UK associate Napp Pharmaceuticals, following a three-way pitch.
The PR oxycodone / naloxone combination tablet is a new treatment being developed for chronic severe pain. The combination tablet is designed to reduce the risk of patients developing constipation – one of the most common side effects of existing strong opioid treatments.
Cohn & Wolfe will be responsible for developing a communications strategy for the pre-launch and launch of the PR oxycodone / naloxone combination tablet across Europe, including development of campaign collateral and ensuring consistency. The UK brief is to implement a public relations and medical education campaign around the launch of the drug.
The European account team will report into Jeremy Clark, Business Development Director, Cohn & Wolfe, while the UK team is headed up by Director, Jo Spadaccino.

The oral PR oxycodone / naloxone combination tablet has been licensed in Germany under the trade name TARGIN® for adult patients with chronic severe pain and will be undergoing registration in other European countries.
