What they asked us to do...  

Avenance is a food company that provides high quality contract catering services to large companies and educational establishments, and is part of Elior UK.   The company wanted to grow its market share amongst businesses so asked Cohn & Wolfe to develop a campaign that would:
raise awareness of Avenance, its services and its attributes amongst key business decision makers, specifically Board Directors and senior HR professionals.


What we did...    

  • Cohn & Wolfe’s strategy was to create opportunities for Avenance to talk about  food in a way that was relevant to businesses and employers.  It was based on a series of thought leadership platforms which highlighted the links between eating habits and productivity
  • ‘Feeding Success’ was a research based initiative that highlighted the eating habits of Britain’s bosses. It showed the impact of food on well-being and performance
  • ‘Siesta Syndrome’ examined the financial impact of the post-lunchtime lull in productivity.  It included tips on the best food to eat to maintain productivity throughout the day

Our results...

  • 275 pieces of coverage included 14 national press, 106 national and regional broadcast, 92 regional press, 46 online and 17 trade titles
  • The campaign reached more than 25 million people
  • 77 per cent of the coverage linked food and productivity
  • 85 per cent of articles described Avenance as one of the UK’s leading contract caterers
