What they Asked us to Do

Palamida is a specialist in open source vulnerability detection and intellectual property management. Cohn & Wolfe London was briefed to:

  • Introduce Palamida to the UK media
  • Build its profile and influence in the UK software/open source market
  • Increase understanding of the licensing and vulnerability issues associated with the use of open source software

What We Did

Palamida is a highly-specialised company, operating in a fast-emerging sector. With no UK presence and a limited budget the Cohn & Wolfe team devised a hard-working media relations programme to maximise the resources and content available.

The agency identified a select group of influential media targets who were approached with Palamida storylines. The spokespeople, as experts in the open source industry, were introduced as valuable industry commentators. This included a series of 1:1 briefings conducted by Mark Tolliver, CEO, at the Open Source Meets Business Conference. The agency maintained media momentum through an ongoing issues-based PR campaign, including issues hijacking, features and by-line article placements.
